Creative Workshops for Schools, Groups & Communities Across Central Scotland
Imaginative, hands-on workshops brought to your venue
Looking for something a little bit magical?
Sparklyscotty delivers creative, hands-on workshops for schools, museums, libraries, local authorities, community organisations, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, youth groups and family events across Central Scotland.
From miniature magical worlds and nature-inspired crafts to potions, seasonal makes and wonderfully imaginative projects, my workshops are designed to get people making, experimenting and creating something they’re genuinely excited to take home.
I bring the activity to you, along with the materials, preparation and plenty of creative enthusiasm.
Planning something specific? Workshops can also be developed around your theme, exhibition, season, event or learning topic.
Creative workshops for all kinds of groups
I work with organisations looking for a creative activity that feels engaging, accessible and just a little different.
Schools & Nurseries
Bring a memorable creative experience directly into your school.
Sessions can be adapted for different ages and abilities and, where appropriate, developed to complement Curriculum for Excellence themes including Expressive Arts, literacy, nature, heritage and creative thinking.
Workshops can work as:
classroom activities
enrichment sessions
activity days
end-of-term treats
themed learning experiences
after-school activities
holiday programmes
family engagement events
The focus is always on giving children the freedom to make something individual rather than expecting everyone to produce an identical finished piece.
Museums, Libraries & Heritage Venues
Creative making can be a brilliant way to help visitors explore a story, collection or theme.
I can develop bespoke craft workshops and family activities inspired by your exhibition, local history, folklore, nature, seasonal programme or event.
These can range from bookable small-group workshops to creative activities designed for larger family days and public events.
Have an idea but aren't sure what the activity should be? Tell me your theme, audience and practical requirements and I can develop concepts for you.
Local Councils & Community Organisations
I offer friendly, accessible creative workshops for:
community centres
libraries
local authority events
family days
holiday programmes
festivals
community projects
charities and third-sector organisations
Activities can be adapted to suit your audience, venue, available time and budget.
Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Youth Groups
Need an activity that feels more exciting than another colouring sheet?
Sparklyscotty workshops are ideal for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and other children's organisations, with projects designed to keep lots of busy hands engaged while still giving everyone space to make their creation their own.
Sessions can be created around a badge, seasonal theme or your group's current programme, or you can simply choose a workshop because it sounds like fun.
Large groups are welcome – just let me know your numbers when you enquire.
What could we make?
The workshop programme changes throughout the year, and bespoke sessions are always possible.
Popular themes and activities can include:
Mushroom Globe Lamps
A hugely popular workshop for adults
Magical Makers
Create tiny worlds, fairy doors, miniature scenes, magical objects and fantastical creatures.
Potion Making
A hugely popular sensory, decorative activity combining colour, shimmer and imagination to create bottled potions to take home.
Nature & Folklore Crafts
Creative projects inspired by Scottish nature, woodland, folklore, seasons and the natural world.
Miniature Making
Design and build miniature rooms, gardens, scenes and objects using an irresistible collection of tiny materials.
Seasonal Workshops
Halloween, Christmas, Easter, spring, summer and autumn workshops developed for schools, groups and public events.
Bespoke Workshops
Give me your theme and I'll develop something especially for you.
Whether you need one hour with a Brownie pack, a full school activity day or a creative programme for a museum family event, we can design a format that works.
Why Sparklyscotty?
My workshops are about creativity rather than perfection.
Participants are encouraged to experiment, choose their own materials and put their own personality into what they make.
That means two people taking part in the same workshop might leave with completely different creations – exactly as it should be.
You can expect:
engaging, hands-on creative activities
age-appropriate projects
all workshop materials prepared in advance
clear demonstrations and friendly guidance
activities adaptable for different abilities
options for bespoke themes and projects
imaginative projects with something to take home
a workshop delivered by an experienced children's craft facilitator
PVG membership for working with children and young people
I have experience delivering children's craft camps, clubs, workshops and community creative activities and understand the practical side too: keeping a room engaged, managing materials and making sure the activity actually works within the time available.

Bespoke Workshops
Already have an idea?
Excellent!
You don't have to choose something from an existing workshop menu.
If you're organising an exhibition, school topic, festival, heritage programme, community event or themed activity, I can develop a creative workshop specifically around it.
Tell me:
who the workshop is for
approximate number of participants
ages
where you're based
how long you have
your theme or objective
your approximate budget
and we can work from there.
Workshop Prices
Every workshop is a little different, so pricing depends on the activity, number of participants, materials required, location and length of session.
As a guide:
1-hour creative workshops – from £120
90-minute workshops – from £150
2-hour workshops – from £180
Half-day programmes – from £275
Full-day programmes – from £450
Standard workshop materials are included for the agreed number of participants.
For larger groups, specialist materials or bespoke projects developed specifically around your exhibition, topic or event, I'll provide a clear quotation before you book.
Schools, charities and community groups
Working with a limited budget? Please still get in touch.
Where possible, I can adapt the project, materials or workshop format to work within available school, charity or community funding.
Travel
Sparklyscotty is based in East Kilbride and workshops are available throughout Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Central Scotland.
Local travel is included in many bookings. For venues further afield, any additional travel costs will always be agreed in advance.

“My children had a great time and they would love to come back to future events thank you”
“[She] absolutely loved the class. Different to any other summer class she’s taken part in but she loved being able to unleash her creative side. ”
